Venice
is a city that is so unusual and unique. It consists of islands
connected by bridges and congested with buidings built with concrete
that sits on ancient petrified logs. The streets are free of cars.
Transport is on water and by the various types of boats. Access to
Venice from the Italian mainland is by air, rail and road. The final
path to your hotel or boarding facility is on foot. The piazza at San
Marco is the best known attraction in Venice but one would be making an
error if one does not attempt to visit as much of the islands as is
possible. Each and every corner provides a surprise of colour and a
feast for the eyes. Venice is well known for its excellent cuisine. It
is a photographers dream destination.

The Sunbird
The Sunbird
Beauty oft defies description by word,
perchance am I an object of vivid hue,
conceptualise me as a part of feathers finely knit,
coloured for the purpose of reflecting lights rays,
off my outer metallic sheen,
in the finest of reds, purple, yellow and green,
I know not black, whites and greys,
dullness deserves the dreary to wit,
black beak apart built to suck my meal of flowery stew,
Yes I am one of a kind of sunbird.

The Malachite Kingfisher
The Malachite Kingfisher
Economy in size, swift in speed,
exceptional beauty in every limb and feather,
perched on a dried twig surveying the water below,
see a prey and watch your feathers glow,
As you make your dive bright metallic colours reflecting off sunny weather ,
without fail you reappear with your feed.
